About the Founder and Her Journey

Terre Meth-Cisco is the president of International Logistics, Inc., which is a security risk management and customs compliance company with locations in Miami, Seattle, and Los Angeles. The business opened in 2002, concentrating on international expertise in the area of cargo and trade compliance, with a specialty in the homeland security and customs border protection initiatives.

Education Details

  • Mrs. Meth-Cisco is a graduate of Universität Müchen, Germany (Ludwig Maximilian Universität/LMU), with a BS in Education Psychology. 

  • She has received her master’s degree from the University of Colorado Leeds Business School (MIBA). 

  • She has certification in Homeland Security from the American College of Forensic Examiners, Springfield, MO. 

  • Mrs. Meth-Cisco holds a Level III certification.

Skills and Certifications

Mrs. Meth-Cisco has trained under the C-TPAT program with field operations in Washington, DC, and within other states, as required by C-TPAT. She was appointed to the account management program with the Customs Office of Field Operations upon its inception. She has recently completed her certificate studies in Risk Management and Cargo Claims Inspection. This increased her ability to administer risk assessment and compliance management, as well as audit these programs.

Previously associated with other forwarding and brokerage companies over the past 30 years, Mrs. Meth-Cisco developed sales and customer service programs. These programs are designed to bring the logistics experience into the clients’ place of business and provide an outsourcing concept in house. She is a certified homeland security level 4, WBEC member.

Awards and Experience

She has been honored as an outstanding ‘Business Woman’ of 1999 with the ‘Mentoring Memorial Award’ for her work with young women. She is the past president of the Rocky Mt. Air Cargo Association and the International Trade Association. Her work with Federico Pena, previous Secretary of Transportation, brought her to assist in the development of cargo facilities at the Denver International Airport. 

Recently Mrs. Meth-Cisco has been appointed to ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security), and her company has received the ‘Best Small Business Award’ for 2014 for the offices in the Miami area.
